I belong

I belong where I am,
I have nowhere else to be;
This is the moment I was waiting for,
So carefully crafted for me!

I belong in this place,
In this time and space;
With all the experience of being,
So peaceful and freeing!

I was meant to be here,
In this very throne;
So still and so rooted,
Despite the daily drone!

No worries of the future,
No past hounds me;
Present is the moment,
Where I belong completely!

The Earth is my home,
And the universe is working for me;
Making each experience perfect,
The powerful energy that they be!

Yes, I belong in the now,
With the people around me;
This is the moment I was waiting for,
So carefully crafted to be!

Unstuck yourself!

I have seen a lot of people feeling stuck in their life at some or the other point. They have this feeling where they feel worthless, they are bored with life. Life feels like a routine. Nothing new, nothing exciting. They hate their life. They feel worthless. They feel as if there is nothing to look forward to!

These people wholeheartedly want their life to change. They wait for the change to come. They blame people around themselves for the situation. They cry for no reason and everything is a reason for crying!

Little do they realize that the change they are waiting for is never going to come! All they are doing right now is recycling their old thoughts, habits and beliefs. And they have recycled them enough times to be completely and absolutely bored by them, loathed by them.

What they really need to do is be the change!

I know this sounds very cliché. But let’s give it a thought. Unless you change something in your life, life will go on as is. If you are really bored with what you are doing, go find something new. Change your routine. Exercise. Do some sports. Pick up a new hobby.

Step out of your comfort zone! Do something that you have never done before. Add some new action to your day!

I agree, you might be scared of doing something new when you are so used to doing your safe and well-trusted routine. But it’s this routine that is really killing you, not the situation or the people around you!

All you have to do is just take a left turn where you always took a right. No one is judging you, but you yourself! Start small. Do one new thing at a time. Focus on your health. Meditate. Take a walk in nature. Dance. Focus on things that make you happy. Focus on positivity.

It is only then you will truly know that there are so many things to life than just the routine. And it is only then, you’ll experience life. After all, life is a million different experiences woven together for you to relish!

Remembrance

In the midst of the work,
Something suddenly reminds me of you;
I pause a moment and smile,
Yeah, I do miss you!

I miss the long conversations,
The midnight “I can’t sleep” talks;
Me talking all nonsense,
And you putting up with it all!

Your thoughtful gestures,
And the caring thoughts;
The diversions you created,
Just to make me forget it all.

You were right, life does not stop,
And I am sure you too have moved on;
But somewhere deep down my friend,
You’ll stay, You’ll never be gone!

Someday, I wish, I’ll get a call,
Hey it’s me! and that’d be all;
We’ll go back to the friends we were,
And that’ll be a start for another fall!

Stories our mind makes up

Ask your mind to stop thinking for a bit? At the precise moment, innumerable thoughts will come up to keep you engaged. Well, this is the nature of our mind.

Mind is the master.

Majority of us identify ourselves as our mind. What we lack to realize is that mind has It’s own identity. Just as our body is a tool to hold our soul, our mind is a tool to navigate this world.

Think outside the box.

Our mind offers solutions, analyses situations based on past experiences. We are thus trapped in our past patterns thinking, “Why does it always happens this way?”. Little do we realize that our mind is letting the past rule us and we are unable to fathom new ideas and solutions.

Everything is logical.

Our mind adds logic to everything based on the limited knowledge it has. We stick to it because we are afraid of the unknown. We fail to recognize that we are just a spec in the universe and there is so much that we don’t understand.

Losing our mind.

Our mind is afraid to lose it’s superior position. Whenever in panic, it makes up random stories and situations to draw our attention. Notice how many baseless worries and thoughts run through our mind in a day. Count the times where your mind was actually in the present moment without thinking of the past or the future.

When used right, our mind is a powerful tool. They key is to become it’s master. This takes a lot of practice and awareness since we have been conditioned to give our mind priority. It’s a journey in itself. But unless you start, you will never achieve!

“What a liberation to realize that the “voice in my head” is not who I am. Who am I then? The one who sees that.”

― Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose

The invisible

Like a blanket of comfort;
Like the favorite shirt,
Like a blessing in disguise;
Like the waves that rise;
Like the bond of joy;
And the amusing toy;
Like a laborers chore;
A traditional folklore;
Like the sun that shines;
Oh! the intoxicating wine;
Like the moon that reflects;
And the hearts that connect;
Like the all supreme;
Yet the very dream;
Like the see-able unseen;
The core of every gene;
It is just like everything;
And everything is just like it!

I am growing

I am growing, evolving;
I am turning into a new me.
Slowly, but surely,
I am going to be free.
My mind is just a tool,
And my thoughts still rule;
It will take loads of time,
But ultimately, I will find.
What I seek, is seeking me;
And distracted I might be,
Yet, it will someday be mine,
The ultimate truth, the divine.
So yes, I am growing,
Evolving towards the light;
And if you stick around,
I promise to take you along for a ride!

Thoughts of sorrow

1-lonely-heart-mike-grubb

Everything I believed in,
Got lost with time;
Everything I said mine,
Aged away with wine.

Every step I took,
Got erased with each wave;
And everywhere I looked,
All I saw was grave.

All hearts dark,
And all hands closed;
Even from the lake,
A jealous smoke rose.

Stood there in the midst,
A tender heart;
Bruised and hurt,
From the world apart.
